AI: The Good, the Bad, and Your Digital Safety

Mercyhurst University faculty will address how artificial intelligence works, how to use it effectively, and how to protect your privacy. Dr. Christy Rieger, English Professor and Director of the Center for Teaching Excellence, will discuss the types of AI tools available and how to prompt the most popular programs for the best results. She will also briefly address concerns about the impact of AI on education, the workforce, and the environment. Dr. Chris Mansour, Chair of the Computing and Information Science Department, will focus on how you can avoid potentially negative exposure when using these tools.
